Frequently Asked Questions:
The sound isn't working. What do I do?
If the product is defective, we'll be happy to replace it. Before you try and replace it, try a few quick things to make sure it is the adapter that is the problem:
1) Make sure the plugs are all the way into both your cell phone and your headset. Sometimes a cell phone case may get in the way of the jack fully connecting, so try it without a case if you have one.2) Try switching your headset and mic lines. Pink should be for the headset microphone and green for the headset audio.
3) Test the adapter on your home phone or a different phone that has a 2.5mm jack.
4) Sometimes headsets have a volume knob. Turn it up and test the headset on your computer, then try again with the adapter.
Will the audio coming out of my headset be mono or stereo?
It will be mono sound, but if you have a headset with two earphones (one for each ear), you will hear sound in both.
Can I find this in a retail store like Radio Shack or Best Buy?
We are currently rolling out the Headset Buddy Adapter into select stores. If you would like to see it in a store near you, please do two things. 1) Visit your local store and tell the manager he should stock the headset buddy and you know lots of people who want it. 2) Add the retailer to our database on our Headset Buddy Adapter SampleRewards.com page.
